A researcher brings his family along when he investigates a backwoods rural community in an isolated valley. What's so strange about this community are the children; they look so "healthy", almost 'bursting' with health.

Also, another aspect of his investigation is a local "population explosion" that is bankrupting the state welfare agency. Something seems to be affecting the townspeople so much so that the term "quality family time" has taken on a whole new meaning.

The researcher's family becomes involved with the local community while dad tries to find out why everyone in this little backwoods valley are so... carefree.
